Directors & Officers Liability
The directors and officers who serve non-profit organizations volunteer not only their time and expertise, but also their personal financial security. Just as with for-profit companies, individual board members can be held responsible for a vast range of alleged wrongdoing, whether or not the organization itself has any assets. From mismanagement, to anti-trust violations or breach of fiduciary duties, claims against directors are costly to defend even if unfounded. Directors & Officers Liability coverage designed with non-profit groups in mind provides protection for the organization and those who serve it.
Group Rate
Community Theatre Groups who are members of ACT-CO are eligible for a group rate (currently $450 for $1 million) on Directors & Officers Liability (D&O) insurance coverage through Firstbrook, Cassie & Anderson Insurance Brokers (fca).
The following conditions apply:
  • the Group must be a current paid up member of ACT-CO.
  • the Group's general insurance policy must be with fca. D&O is an add-on.
  • ACT-CO is a facilitator. The insurance policy is strictly between the Group and fca.
