Etobicoke Musical Productions is searching for the next great creative team for our Fall 2026 show Sister Act. Interested Directors, MD’s and Choreographers please get in touch at contact@e-m-p.ca.

In preparation for your interview with the Board of Directors, please bring 9 copies, or provide a copy electronically at least 24 hours in advance, of a short proposal which includes (but is not limited to) the following:

Artistic Director: 3-4 pages maximum

· Your vision/understanding of the show including a summary of what you propose to do

· How you plan to work with the cast to teach blocking, acting coaching etc.

· Ideas for casting including size of cast and what you would be looking for from the performers

· Basic set & costuming ideas

· Any challenges you foresee and how you would overcome them

Music Director: 2-3 pages maximum

· Your vision/understanding of the show

· How you plan to teach the music to the cast

· Casting ideas including voice types

· Size of orchestra you feel is required for the show

· Any challenges you foresee and how you would overcome them

Choreographer: 2-3 pages maximum

· Your vision/understanding of the show

· How you work with dancers and non-dancers (especially) to teach routines

· Casting ideas including dance ability required

· Size of chorus or number of dancers you feel is needed for the show

· Any challenges you foresee and how you would overcome them

Also, each candidate should be prepared to discuss what they would expect to receive as an honorarium.

When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.
