Susan Bourne 2011/2012 - Drama Category
Susan Bourne has extensive and varied experience in acting and directing. Award winning productions include Leaving Home, The Time of Your Life, Waiting for the Parade, Unicorn Moon and Oliver.

She is an avid supporter of Theatre Ontario and the arts in education. She has been teaching acting and directing at Etobicoke School of the Arts for fifteen years and is actively involved in the education community, sitting on curriculum committees, working as a liaison with the professional theatre community and young artists and directing many major productions in the theatre department including Les Belles Soeurs, Taming of the Shrew,
Our Country's Good, A Midsummer Night's Dream,Tartuffe, Urinetown, Arcadia, and most currently Romeo and Juliet. She produces and directs over 30 productions a year with her students and is involved in many interdisciplinary and collaborative projects, most notably Arts Showcase and the Sears Drama Festival.

Education and continued training include an Honours BFA (Directing) York University, an Honours Specialist in Drama, advanced Viewpoints and Suzuki Training with Anne Bogart and SITI company (New York) and voice training with David Smukler. She is an ardent supporter of Grandmothers to Grandmothers and the Stephen Lewis Foundation.

Susan is a graduate of the initial Adjudicator's Training program with Ron Cameron and co-adjudicated the Brampton Festival 2010.

Carolee Mason 2011/2012 - Comedy Category
Carolee Mason is an experienced theatre educator, director, and adjudicator with student and community theatre groups across Ontario. An award-winning teacher, noted for her work as an author and workshop leader, Carolee contributed to Ontario’s Ministry of Education drama curriculum at various stages of its development. Working with adults, teens and children, she has directed and designed more than eighty productions for community and children’s theatre, and the Sears Drama Festival. Carolee trained in technical theatre, design, and drama in education, studying with the Georgian Theatre Company, the University of Toronto Opera School, the University College Drama Program, and Queen’s University Drama Department. She currently teaches in the Theatre Department at Brock University and instructs teacher candidates in drama at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto.
