Thom Currie 2010/2011 - Comedy
Thom Currie has enjoyed a varied twenty-year professional career as an actor, director, playwright and producer. Originally from New York, he has appeared onstage on both sides of the Atlantic, performing in cities such as Paris, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Brussels. Since settling in Toronto, Thom has worked steadily as actor and director in theatres across Canada, including Victoria Playhouse, Stage West (Calgary and Mississauga), Theatre in the Park, The Georgian Theatre Festival and The Showboat Festival Theatre, among many others.

His directing credits include over 30 productions, including Peter Pan, Sexy Laundry, Urinetown, Crazy For You, A Bench In The Sun, and Looking, in addition to over fifty productions for young audiences. Thom is the Founding Artistic Director of ReallyLittleTheatre, an international children’s theatre, and he was Artistic Director of The Georgian Theatre Festival.

Thom currently serves as Artistic Director of The Showboat Festival Theatre in Port Colbourne, Ontario’s only full-time professional Theatre-in-the-Round.

Andrew Lamb 2010/2011 - Musical
A graduate of Concordia University, Andrew Lamb trained as a director with Mike Alfreds at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London, England, and is currently the Director of Education and Outreach at Tarragon Theatre. Andrew is the Artistic Director of Theatre Awakening and was part of the 2009 Director's Lab at the Lincoln Center Theater in New York.

Selected directing credits include Driving Miss Daisy (Stirling Festival Theatre), BURIED (Next Stage 2010), My Mother’s Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding (Mirvish/Fringe Festival 2009), In Darfur (SummerWorks 2008), The Drawer Boy, The Tempest, A Midsummer Night's Dream (Georgian Theatre Festival), Desperate Housepets (Montreal and Toronto Fringe Festivals 2006), After Juliet (Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People), Just So Stories, The Balloon Tree (KidsVenue - Toronto Fringe Festival), WASPS (Hart House Theatre / U of T) and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (Heritage Theatre).

Andrew has also worked as an arts educator for Soulpepper, the Canadian Stage Company, Words In Motion, Shakespearience, the Sears Ontario Drama Festival and over a decade at LKTYP's Drama School.

Bea Quarrie 2010/2011 - Drama
Bea Quarrie has been involved in theatre almost all her life. Her stage experience ranges from her first role learned phonetically at age twelve to two summers playing a lead role in 4th Line Theatre's production For Home and Country, to directing a high school production of Paper Bag Princess in Yingkou, China for viewing by 42 million people.

As well as being a theatre practitioner, Bea has served as an arts advocate on regional, provincial and national committees and Boards of Arts Councils, theatre companies and theatre service organizations. She is the co-founder of four professional companies in Peterborough, Ontario, where she has lived for many years. Her education includes an Honours Degree in Drama and Fine Arts, studies in England with Peter Brook, summer courses at Theatre Ontario and an Arts Management course at Banff. She was a member of a Canadian Theatre Educators delegation to Cuba, has adjudicated Sears and Community Theatre drama Festivals for thirty years, and has directed over seventy five productions ranging from Rashomon to Murray Schafer's The Enchanted Forest and Wolf Shall Inherit the Moon.

She recently retired from teaching visual arts and drama at Lakefield College School and has been exhibiting her large abstract paintings with the Visual Poetry Group of painters of Peterborough. She is a subject of two films, the National Film Board's 12 and Cogeco's December 3 Reflections.

An award-winning director whose productions have been chosen to represent Canada at international festivals in Japan, Germany, Aruba and Venezuela, Bea strongly believes in the transformative power of the arts.
